Memories of Love,
You can’t forget, the past
I remember the bond
Now my heart is loose
My soul runs wild, without purpose
So it seems
Mind and thought of past times
Keeps me Hopeful
Keeps me Hopeful
Keeps me Hopeful
Keeps me Hopeful
Everything is changing
And I know, It’s for the better
But I wanna feel, the fire
Of my passion
As I did, when I was younger
Mind and thought of past times
Keeps me hopeful
Keeps me hopeful
Keeps me hopeful
Keeps me hopeful
Chaz Chambers is thrilled to announce the release of his debut album, Coastal, available everywhere on December 8th.
Coastal has been in Chaz´s mind for many years. Though the actual music is totally different now, the concept has remained similar. Basically, Chaz feels inspired artistically by coastal regions. The ocean, the water sounds, the fresh air, etc. And so did his grandmother, Gloria, who passed many years ago. “You could say she was the bedrock of artistry in my family.”
So, Coastal is about what inspires Chaz, his grandmother and some of the themes used throughout the album. This is quite evident in the music video Chaz made for the song Sea (formerly By The Sea), that was made mostly from his Icelandic coastal footage. It gives the connection between coastal landscape visuals and ambient/post rock music.
Coastal appears as Chaz Chambers' debut album after his previous Eps Colored World –released in April of 2015-, and Apatheia –released in January of 2017-. The phonogram is made up of 8 songs of a fairly diverse and experimental musical bill. Coastal brings together the varied musical references received by Chaz during the last few years of his musical career.
Each song has a special story that is revealed through music. Essential production elements stand out such as the variety of styles that are combined in the experimental sound of the album; the collaborations of artists from different parts of the world; and the peculiar recording process between independent studios in Cuba and the United States.
“…lyrics are particularly reflective and thoughtful in a deeply human way”.
Rebecca Cullen, Stereo Stickman
“Chaz Chambers has released a beautiful new track called “Hopeful” The music in this track is catchy and sort of sad, but it does make you feel good at the same time, the lyrics are beautiful too.”
Denise Sherod, Reignland
“Chambers connection to music has always gone beyond acting. His intense humanist, socialist and revolutionary feelings made composition his primary means of expression. The fight against injustice, racism and social inequality is a constant in his music. Chaz´s artistic premise is to create a social message that helps change human thought towards the formation of a more united, just and humane society”.
